Mary + Galen Engagement, Redwood National Park

The Redwood National Forest is absolutely majestic and known for it's giant sequoias. Redwoods are famous for being strong enough to withstand natural disasters. Each tree houses hundreds of plant and animal species and are said to be calming forces. I believe that these qualities are some of what we all look for in a partner; resilience, a warm and welcoming heart, and possessing the ability to help calm and balance one another so we can get through this wild, wonderful thing we call life! When Mary and Galen asked me to travel to the forest with them I was over the moon. The thing that really hits me deep about what I do for a living is being able to share these very important moments with people. Spending time with each bride and groom I have met has taught me a ton about love and provided me with some pretty amazing life-long friends. It was a true pleasure to spend time dancing through the forest and getting to know what makes Mary and Galen's bond so special with one another. If you have never been to see these giant wonders, do yourself a favor and get to California quick!

Meghan + Peter Brooklyn Bridge Wedding

Meghan + Peter's wedding is one of those weddings that you remember often and remember specifically everything that happened when it happened. Their wedding is engrained in me for so many reasons. Mainly because I have never experienced a wedding like theirs.. ever. Their 5:30am sunrise ceremony on the Brooklyn Bridge was complete with their closest friends and family and their pup, Hex, who was suffering from cancer. Hex was a very important part of their wedding, knowing he may not be around for much longer. Having lost my pup just a few months before, I knew how much it meant for Hex to be fully included in all the festivities. Having known all of this, I could barely hold my tears back. Tears of joy of M+P and tears of sadness for little Hex. I feel completely honored to have been able to document such a beautiful day, a celebration of Meghan and Peter and all of their loved ones, including Hex. It is moments like these that remind me how beautiful life is, how beautiful it is to celebrate life, and how thankful and truly blessed I am to witness and document the beauty that life creates.

In loving memory of Hexagon.

Jen + Mark

Mark, a friend of mine for about ten years now, asked me to photograph his wedding last year. I immediately said absolutely and thought to myself that it was going to be the best weekend ever. All of our friends from high school and college traveled near and far - mostly far - to a little island for quite a memorable reunion. I am so excited to finally share Jen and Mark's wedding with the world! They hosted a beautiful and intimate wedding weekend in Bald Head Island, NC…a tiny island where no cars are allowed…only foot traffic and speedy golf carts. We all rented houses together and spent the days and nights on the beach…surfing, drinking, chatting, catching up. It was definitely the most perfect weekend to bring people from all over to celebrate two very special people. Thank you Mark and Jen for spreading the love. XO

Hannah + Jimmy

sometimes when you find the one you love, all you need is a delicious restaurant, a brooklyn rooftop, and a super fun bar filled with close friends and family.  that is exactly how hannah + jimmy decided to get married. it was simply perfect. much love to both of them!

Debbie + Wesley Elopement

Debbie and Wesley asked me to photograph their private, surprise elopement in NYC AND be their only witness. It was one of the more beautiful moments I have experienced in my life. We walked through the streets of NY talking and laughing while trying to stay warm and ended it by walking over the Brooklyn Bridge. It was definitely a day to remember. xo
